The foundation of Icelandic literature and language was laid in Þingvellir National Park, and a strong literary tradition continues to thrive in modern Iceland, where more books are written, published and sold per person per year than anywhere else on the planet. Following on this history, the park identity system relies heavily on elements of Icelandic literature and typography, allowing for an active and evolving system of representation. Identity package includes logotype, mark, brand standards guide, UNESCO booklet and advertisement for The New Yorker.
