Led the visual design component of a comprehensive rebrand for Shepley Bulfinch, the longest continually operating architecture firm in the U.S. Reflecting the inventive and collaborative spirit of the firm’s work and culture, the rebranding effort included a messaging platform, visual identity, social strategy, templates and guidelines, and a website redesign. The Shepley Bulfinch logotype is modular, and uses unexpected spaces in the letterforms as a reflection of the firm’s commitment to the thoughtful design of “the spaces in between.” The type system further reinforces this idea with Shepley Bulfinch Regular, a bespoke typeface commissioned from award-winning type foundry Coppers and Brasses.
